๐ช Room & Space Placements
Add every major room and its compass direction within the plot. Classical rules from Manasara ch.19-27, Mayamata ch.14-17.
Used for Aaya-Vyaya calculation
๐ช Pooja Room โ Classical Detail
Agama Shastra: Idol must face East or West only. Worshipper faces East to pray. Pooja room must never be in basement or bedroom.
๐ข Multi-Room / Commercial Layout
๐ง Water Sources โ Well, Borewell, Sump
Brihat Samhita ch.54: Well in NE is supreme โ water flowing NE brings wealth & health
Borewell same rules as well. Depth: NE borewells reach water fastest per Brihat Samhita
Overhead tank must be in W or SW โ weight in SW is stable per Manasara
RWH pit in NE: water seeps NE into earth, blessed by Ishana โ maximises blessings
๐ฝ Sanitation โ Septic Tank & Drainage
Brihat Samhita: Septic/waste must exit NW or W. Never NE, N, or E. SW septic is also highly inauspicious.
Drain water must never flow toward South or SW โ wealth drains with it
๐ณ Trees, Posts, Transformer & External Elements
Manasara: Large trees in SW/S/W โ beneficial shield. NE trees block divine energy. Trees must not shadow the house before 9am.
Electricity is Agni's domain โ SE is the correct zone for all electrical equipment and transformer placement.
Load-bearing columns/posts must be in SW, S, W zones โ never in NE or Brahmasthan.
Brihat Samhita: A temple or deity directly in line with the main door causes "Vedha Dosha" โ energy reflected back too intensely. Temple must be offset, not in direct axial alignment with entry.
Veedhi Shoola Dosha: Road energy stabbing toward the house. Remedy: convex mirror or Vastu chakra on front wall.
๐๏ธ Neighbourhood & Surrounding Doshas
๐๏ธ Staircase Placement
Manasara: Stairs in S, W, SW โ weight-bearing in heavy zones. NE stairs is a critical dosha โ cuts Ishana energy and causes career setbacks.
Manasara: Steps must be odd number (1,3,5,7...). Even steps inauspicious. Also must not end on 0 (e.g. 10, 20 are inauspicious).
๐ Upper Floor / First Floor Layout
๐
Balcony Placement
Balcony must open toward N, E, or NE for best results. Opening SW/S weakens the house anchor.
๐ช Doors & Windows โ Number and Placement
Manasara: Total doors must be even number (2,4,6,8...). Odd number of doors brings Vastu dosha. Main door must be larger than all internal doors.
Windows: more on N & E walls than S & W. NE must have maximum openings. SW must have minimum/smallest windows.
Main door height: minimum 7 ft classical standard. Must be taller than all internal doors.
๐ Room Measurements โ Aaya Vyaya Calculation
Manasara ch.9-11: Aaya (income/gain) vs Vyaya (expenditure/loss) calculation. Length ร Width mod 8 โ remainder gives Aaya lord.
Enter as LengthXWidth (e.g. 14X12). The engine will compute Aaya lord and Vyaya for each room and flag problematic ratios.
๐ฑ Land Dosha & Soil Tests โ Brihat Samhita ch.53
Brihat Samhita ch.53: Soil colour indicates land quality. White = best for Brahmin/spiritual. Red = best for warriors. Yellow = commerce. Black needs purification rituals.
Brihat Samhita: Prior land use is the most important factor. Agricultural and temple land carry positive energy. Cemetery/cremation ground requires elaborate purification (Bhoomi Shudhi) before construction.
Brihat Samhita ch.54 โ Water Divining: Termite mounds and luxuriant plant growth in NE indicate underground water 10-15 ft deep. Classic signs used by Vastu experts for borewell placement.
๐ Bhoomi Pariksha โ Classical Land Test (Brihat Samhita)
Varahamihira's 5 classical land tests for plot selection. Check applicable boxes if you have tested.
๐ Empty Land & Open Space within Site
Manasara: Empty land in NE and N is the most auspicious. This space accumulates Kubera and Ishana energy that flows into the home. Never leave SW open โ it creates instability.
South Indian traditional homes: inner courtyard at Brahmasthan is highly auspicious โ ventilation, light, Akasha element balanced.
